For my design work I try to get try out swatches done whenever possible unless there isn t time It s extra work but can save a lot of time if the design doesn t work. There s a always a big difference between a sketch on paper and seeing how it works knitted up. I use them to try out yarns, stitches and colour combinations. Here are some examples. Sometimes there isn t even a plan, just trying things out. These are for the Make at Home range and just trying out stitches and yarns swatches.
Here is the first Make at Home kit, for the Coffee Pot cushion cover, showing how the kits will look when they are ready. I m still working on the new website at the moment, and hope to launch the range early in the new year.
